I was a Masters student in construction management in a French engineering school. I heard of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield through a friend of mine and was quickly convinced that the challenging environment and variety of tasks was something I wanted. I wanted to develop my project management skills and was offered a 6-month internship in the Property, Maintenance & Works department, in charge of the construction, extension, renovation and maintenance of the Group’s assets. My tasks involved monitoring the refurbishment progress in some of the Group’s French shopping centres. For 6 months, I had to make sure costs and deadlines were respected, and helped coordinate external providers throughout the different steps of the projects. I was proud to have a high level of responsibility and truly appreciated the human dimension of my job, which involved interacting with internal and external stakeholders. My 6-month internship was full of learning, great experiences, challenges and happy encounters!
