Thanks to an incredible partnership between the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Airports team, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), and the mobile app Grab, we have launched a new platform at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that allows customers to digitally order food and beverages from anywhere onsite and enjoy a tailored, contactless and comfortable experience while traveling.

The new service, LAX Order Now, helps keep airport passengers and employees safe while innovating the travel experience and pushing the entire industry forward. It will also help drive sales and restore traveller confidence during these uniquely challenging times.

LAX Order Now is easy to use and does not require downloading a mobile app. Airport guests can simply use their camera app to scan one of many QR codes located throughout the airport or visit directly from their mobile device to search and browse menus from any participating restaurant. Multiple forms of payments are accepted, including credit/debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Guests are able to pick up their orders from designated areas with seals on all packaging. LAX Order Now provides order updates and alerts to users when their order is ready at one of the designated pick-up locations, which are clearly marked with signs.

This great milestone will pave the way for the launch of a similar programme at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) T5 and airport-wide at Miami International Airport (MIA) later this year.
