Centrum Černý Most announces major expansion project
An enhanced shopping and dining experience
Centrum Černý Most, the popular shopping centre in the Prague region, is set to undergo a significant expansion of 9,100 m² that will add over 30 new shops and restaurants, as well as additional screens to the centre’s multiplex cinema. With construction work commencing in April 2024, the extension is planned to open in autumn 2025 and will enhance the destination’s offer to over 200 stores, providing customers with an even greater variety of choices and experiences.
A sustainability-oriented expansion
In line with our Better Places commitments, the expansion project will be carried out with a strong focus on sustainability, minimising the carbon footprint and maximising the use of local and recycled materials, such as dismantled components from the existing structure or low-carbon type III cement, which will save 340 tonnes of CO2. The project will follow the BREEAM Excellent standard for construction and the BREEAM in Use requirements for Double Outstanding certification for the extension. The project will also feature water recycling, photovoltaic panels and heat-recovery ventilation among other sustainability features.
A unique new dining plaza
One of the highlights of the expansion project will be the introduction of a unique new Dining Plaza offering a dynamic mix of 22 restaurants, with more providing an upscale experience. Restaurants will serve meals on porcelain dishes with classic cutlery, facilitated by a new eco-friendly dishwashing process that will minimise waste and water consumption. The new area will also include family-friendly experiences with a kids’ playroom and activities.
An extended multiplex cinema
The expansion project will include the extension of the CineStar multiplex cinema on the centre’s rooftop and introduce ‘Gold Class’, with three new movie theatres, each with only 30 seats. Gold Class customers will be able to enjoy a lounge with a bar and cloakroom before entering, while also being able to order refreshments to be served directly to them during the film screening.
